It makes me wonder when I see negative articles about the John J. Foley Skilled Nursing Facility ["Worries over Suffolk deficit," News, Jan. 30].

If given the chance this facility's finances could be turned around and make a profit. This place is state of the art and better than most private facilities. It could be a jewel for Suffolk County if given the opportunity to right the wrongs caused by a prior administration.

Don't forget, there are workers at the facility who have families to care for and mortgages to pay, just like anyone else. How would you feel losing your job and trying to survive on Long Island?

Chris Faltz, Bellport

Editor's note: The writer is a certified nursing assistant at the John J. Foley facility.
