Letter: Help more victims of Sandy

I am disgusted with our government when I see news items about how the people who were devastated by superstorm Sandy are forced to live ["Frozen Island," News, Jan. 24].
Our country sends millions of dollars to other countries but can't take care of its own citizens. It's shameful how these poor people have to live in their homes without electricity or heat.
