Letter: How many casinos are viable?
Casinos are a blight ["Time to get the ball rolling," Editorial, June 2]. Commercial buses scavenge the countryside looking for bodies to bring to the existing casinos. Press the button, lose. Press the button, lose. Press the button, lose.
How many casinos can be supported? We can't even keep Hempstead Turnpike's stores viable because of the oversaturation of places to shop. Same idea with casinos.
There should be a full State Environmental Quality Review Act study for each and every casino. I'd bet you couldn't justify them.
