Letter: NY vets service brings up the rear

After reading the article "Long wait for vets" [News, April 30], I couldn't help but wonder why, after years of being one of the least effective offices, has no one in the New York regional office been replaced?

People talk about New York Jets coach Rex Ryan having his job at risk, even after some successful years. When was the last time the New York director of Veterans Affairs had a successful year? Are New York sports fans entitled to more accountability than our veterans?
