Letter: Religious leaders and tax status

Regarding "Politics and the pulpit" [Letters, Nov. 25], when religious leaders use their pulpits as bully pulpits, should they expect to pay for the privilege through the loss of their favored tax treatment?

Didn't the founders mean to stress the separation of church from state?
