It's outrageous that the Republican majority on the Nassau County Legislature last month redirected red-light camera money from youth and social service programs to the general fund ["Mangano asks groups to lobby Dems on cuts," News, June 6].

Then County Executive Edward Mangano tries to use those groups to lobby the Democrats to allow more borrowing.

Restore the red-light camera money to the original programs. Simple.

The Republicans have to stop their political tricks, especially when they put the most vulnerable in the county at risk.
