Regarding "Rally supports Foley home" [News, April 14], it's now official and in the open. Unions actually run Suffolk County.

We elected Steve Levy and Steve Bellone as county executives to work for the betterment of Suffolk County and to protect our tax money. Levy ticked off the police union and was driven out of Suffolk politics. Now, the latest union has come out of the closet.

The fact that Suffolk County is losing as much as $1 million a month supporting the John J. Foley Skilled Nursing Facility seems to be of no consequence to the municipal employees union. Why don't we just get smart, reorganize county government, disband the legislature and the executive office, and let the unions decide what they believe is best for the proletariat?

Just think how much money we could save.
