We do need more taxis; however, we also need to increase the number of taxis accessible to people who use wheelchairs ["Disrupting the global status quo," Editorial, July 5].

Now, a miserably low percentage are accessible. Regulations should require any new vehicle that puts itself out for hire to be accessible to everyone. This includes Uber, Lyft, etc.
