Donations of nonperishable food and paper products collected by students at Fostertown Elementary ETC Magnet School in Newburgh are being distributed to families in New York and New Jersey affected by Hurricane Sandy.

The students collected several hundred items in November during a food drive at the school and at a school dance, and are being distributed to needy families with the help of the Town of Newburgh's Battalion 3 Fire Department.
