Northbound lanes of the Bronx River Parkway will be closed for three nights beginning Jan. 14 so construction crews can repair a bridge that spans the parkway, Westchester County government said Friday.
The two right lanes on the northbound side of the parkway will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Jan. 14-15, Jan. 15-16 and Jan. 16-17.
While the lanes are closed, crews will work to repair concrete piers on the underside of the Broad Street Bridge, which spans the parkway just south of the Cross County Parkway in southeast Yonkers. The Broad Street Bridge was built in 1923; the last major repair work was conducted in 1985, according to records.
To avoid delays, drivers should take alternate routes. For more information, call the county Department of Public Works at 914-995-2555.
