Parade celebrates Central America's 192 years of independence

The Central American Day Parade marched down Southern Boulevard.

THE BRONX - Marching bands, baton-twirlers and many more proud Central Americans took to the streets today to celebrate the region's 192nd anniversary of independence.

The Central American Day Parade marched down Southern Boulevard. Since 1997, Bronx residents have held the parade to show off their pride for their native countries.

After the parade, a celebration was held in Crotona Park.
