Nyack High School music students practicing for their upcoming winter concerts are looking forward to New York Philharmonic conductor Michael Adelson coming to work with them on Wednesday.

Adelson, a staff and cover conductor who also leads regular clinics and workshops for the orchestra's education department, will work with students from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the high school auditorium.

The free concerts will take place at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19 and Dec. 20 at Nyack High School, 360 Christian Herald Rd., in Upper Nyack.

The first concert will be an instrumental evening featuring the school's chamber, string and symphony orchestras, concert band and jazz ensemble. The following evening's show will showcase vocal performances by the mixed chorus, women's vocal ensemble, men's a cappella and advanced chorus.
