DARIEN - Police say there will be more officers on the roads for traffic enforcement as several southwestern Connecticut communities head back to school this week.

They will be reminding drivers to slow down in school zones and to stop for school buses.

Officers are also cracking down on distracted drivers, and are asking drivers to put away cellphones while driving.

Police say they're calling the crackdown Operation Safe Drive Near School.
