NEW ROCHELLE - A high-speed police chase in New Rochelle ended in a overnight crash that killed a passenger in the car.
Police say they received a domestic violence call around 10:30 p.m. yesterday with a woman claiming her boyfriend beat her up. A short time later, officers spotted the suspect in a car at Lincoln and Webster avenues.
Officers tried to stop the car but the driver took off. The police chase ended when the driver flipped his car on Webster Avenue.
The driver and his passenger were ejected from the vehicle. The passenger later died at Jacobi Medical Center from his injuries. The driver was rushed to Sound Shore Medical Center and is in critical condition. Authorities expect to charge the driver in the the passenger's death.
