Police ID Poughkeepsie teenager in fatal shooting
Police have identified the teenager fatally shot on a City of Poughkeepsie street early Sunday morning.
Daquell D. LeBlanc, 17, of the City of Poughkeepsie, was shot at 364 Main St. around 1 a.m. Sunday, according to a police news release. He was taken to Vassar Brothers Medical Center a short time later, where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy performed by the Dutchess County medical examiner's office concluded that LeBlanc died from a single gunshot wound to the chest, the release said.
