MOUNT VERNON - A suspect is on the loose after police say a man was found stabbed in Mount Vernon last night.

Police say the stabbing happened at around 10:45 p.m. on the corner of Franklin and Third avenues, near the Citgo gas station. The victim was found laying on the ground by police, with multiple stab wounds.

The man was taken to the hospital, and police say he would not share any details about who stabbed him.
