GREENWICH - Police in Greenwich are searching for the hit-and-run driver who dragged a woman several blocks to her death.

The incident occurred around 2 a.m. Saturday in the Byram section of Greenwich, several blocks from the Port Chester border.

The victim was rushed to Stamford Hospital, but did not survive. Her identity has not yet been released, though investigators say she was a 21-year-old college student.

Police say the male driver in a red sedan had short hair and was wearing a long-sleeve shirt with a gold chain and cross.
