Powerball jackpot balloons to $400 million; 5th largest in lottery history

THE BRONX - The Powerball jackpot is growing and drawing out lottery hopefuls across the city.

Many Bronx residents are among those trying their luck and crossing their fingers in hopes of taking home the fifth largest Powerball jackpot in history, which now stands at a whopping $400 million.

Owners of a Getty gas station in Soundview say people have been coming in droves, dreaming that their $2 will get them the golden ticket.

The numbers will be drawn at 11 p.m.
