CROWN HEIGHTS - President Barack Obama made a special trip to Pathways in Technology Early College High School in Brooklyn today, to see for himself the unique program that lets students graduate with both a high school diploma and an associate's degree.

The president talked about giving every young person the kind of opportunities he had that led him to the White House.

He also talked about the economy and the importance of education. He praised the model that P-Tech offers, because it graduates students with real skills.

P-Tech was praised back in January during Obama's State of the Union address for its ground-breaking curriculum. The president said that it's a model he would like to see in more schools.
