The child was attacked by two dogs last night at a home on Lufberry Avenue.

NEW BRUNSWICK - A 4-year-old girl is recovering in a hospital after being attacked by two dogs at a home in New Brunswick.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office says the child, whose identity is being withheld, was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital after Thursday’s attack.

Police were called to the home on Lufberry Avenue at around 8 p.m. Three officers opened fire and killed the dogs. 

The 4-year-old girl remains in the hospital in critical condition. 

No charges have been filed.
