Traffic was flowing mostly smoothly early in Wednesday’s commute as a rare batch of clear skies greeted motorists.

An accident was blocking the left lane of the southbound New York State Thruway at the Tappan Zee Bridge about 6:15 a.m. but was being cleared by 6:30, News12 reported. Traffic had slowed to Exit 10 (Route 9W) in Nyack but was beginning to flow again.

A disabled tractor-trailer was blocking the shoulder on the I-87 service road at the Cross County Parkway interchange in Yonkers but wasn’t causing delays, News12 reported.

Conditions were good on Interstate 684, I-287 and all major Westchester parkways, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Metro-North Railroad reported all trains on or close to schedule.
