When it comes to New Year’s Eve 2012, there are several parties to choose from, with each offering all sorts of amenities. However, if dancing is your top priority, look to Aura Light & Sound Suite in East Meadow as it has a mixer maestro on deck to welcome in 2013 like few of his contemporaries can.

Theo Pisani – aka “DJ Theo” – is perhaps Long Island’s most celebrated selector. Once solely recognized as a local radio personality and the long-running resident DJ of the summer super-spot Neptune Beach Club in East Quogue, the man has since graduated to international acclaim for his “Summer Clubbing” mixes (on Nervous Records), and regularly delivers sessions of pumping dance music to packed clubs and venues across the East Coast.

His skill set is well-tailored for Aura, as the club boasts a flexible LED light display screen ceiling and a cutting edge sound system – both of which should enhance Theo’s always-energetic efforts. Tickets are available at Aura. Call 516-794-3091 for questions, information and prices. Admission fee will also cover a free buffet and open top-shelf bar from 8-10 p.m., as well as party favors and a champagne toast.

Aura Light & Sound Suite is at 1900 Hempstead Tpke. in East Meadow, and is online at auranightclubli.com and facebook.com/AuraSuite.
