Acting legend Karl Malden dead at 97
Karl Malden, star of one of the great plays and movies of the 20th century and forever linked to one of its great actors through both, died yesterday. He was 97.
He died of natural causes, his family told the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, where Malden served as president from 1989 to 1992.
