  • Astoria Financial's profits slip in first quarter

    Saying it is "not immune" to the weakening economy, Astoria Financial Corp., the parent of Astoria Federal Savings and Loan Association, has reported profits declined in the first quarter ending March 31 compared with the same period last year.
