HauppaugeHigh School’s Christine Phelan found her passion for theatre in the fifth grade. Honing her talent in middle and high school has allowed her to reach the position of president of the Hauppauge Drama Club and an executive board member for the Alliance of Long Island Students of Theatre.

Her musical talents have enabled her to serve as Soprano section leader in the Hauppauge High School Chamber Choir and led to her selection as a vocalist in the All-State Mixed Choir in December 2011. She has been nominated for two Teeny Awards, that recognize outstanding achievement in theater. Most recently, for her role as Juliet in “Romeo and Juliet.” Christine competed in the Gershwin Awards, sponsored by Camp Broadway and CAP 21, and attended the NYSSSA School of Theatre this past summer.  

Outside of her artistic pursuits, she is a member of the National Honor Society, Tri-M Honor Society, International Thespian Society, and the French Honor Society.
