Kelly Lee, a senior at Herricks High School, strives to use her artistic talent to change how society views art.

She has won multiple awards for her artwork, from 1st place in the local CAANH competition from grades 9-12, to a Silver Key in the prestigious Scholastic Art & Writing Awards of 2010 for her painting, Gesticulations of Self. She was also the 1st place Advanced Painting Winner in Herrick’s Student Art Gallery 2010.

Aside from her artistic achievements, Kelly also received the President’s Volunteer Service Award of 2008 and 2009 for dedicating 275+ hours of community service. She also raised $480 and donated clothing as well as over 150 of her own books to the Vision Home orphanage in Ipoh Malaysia.

An active member of the National Art Honor Society, Kelly is on Academic Honor roll for her grade point average and received the AP Scholar Award for her scores on the AP exams.
