Rachel Guida of Walt Whitman High School is one of the April Scholar Artists

Rachel Guida, a WaltWhitman High School senior, has been a member of the Whitman Dance program for three years. Rachel began dancing at the age of four. She studied ballet, lyrical, tap and jazz at the North Shore School of Dance for nine years before concentrating on ballet at the Lynch School of Ballet in Huntington.

Rachel is a member of the National Honor Society and will be inducted into the National Honor Society for Dance Arts this spring. As a dancer, Rachel’s strength and the beautiful lines she creates are captivating. She is also a Varsity athlete and has been the MVP of both her Varsity Softball and Varsity Volleyball teams.

Rachel plans to major in Exercise Science at Sacred Heart University where she will play Division I Volleyball. She will continue to dance and eventually pursue a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
