2014 Newsday Marching Band Festival information
The Newsday Marching Band Festival is now in its 52nd year!
In 1963 the Newsday Marching Band Festival began with a one-day performance featuring 13 bands. Since then, the grounds of Hofstra University have pulsated, each year, with cheers and music from this annual event.
The Newsday Marching Band Festival acts as a fundraiser for each participating school band and also funds the Newsday Marching Band Festival Scholarship program that assists Hofstra music students in their studies.
Tickets: Advanced sale tickets are $8 and available through any participating school. Tickets are also available at the gate each night of the Festival for $10. Children 10 years old and younger are admitted for free. There is no assigned seating.
Start Time (all nights): 7pm
October 14, 15 and 16th (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings)
In the event of a postponement the following Monday through Wednesday nights (October 20, 21 and 22nd) are the reschedule dates
