Service on the Port Jefferson branch of the Long Island Rail Road has been restored after being temporarily suspended Friday morning when a train struck a man in Huntington, police and railroad officials said.
Railroad spokesman Aaron Donovan said the man survived and was taken to Huntington Hospital with severe injuries to his right leg and a possible broken right clavicle.
