Kate Middleton channels Kim Kardashian in Alexander McQueen
It's nothing new to see two celebrities wearing the same dress.
But who would have imagined Catherine, duchess of Cambridge, and Kim Kardashian, queen of reality TV, side by side in a “Who wore it best” contest?
Kate, always elegant and poised, has become an international fashion icon, and Alexander McQueen has been her go-to designer since her magical wedding day.
But this time, Kim wore it first.
Kate celebrated the Thames Pageant Sunday for the Diamond Jubilee in the same red pleated McQueen dress that Kim was spotted wearing in Manhattan last summer.
In the duchess' defense, her version was custom made with long sleeves and a knee-length hem, and Kim's outfit lacked the mark of a royal -- a matching hat placed perfectly to the side of her head.
Kate also paired the dress with her favorite nude L.K. Bennett pumps and a ladylike clutch while Kim went with snakeskin Louboutins and a chunky necklace.
Only Prince William's bride could take a Kardashian's look and make it classy. But next time, Kate, tune in to E! before you get dressed.
