EDISON - A man who was denied access to Six Flags Great Adventure because of a slogan on his T-shirt has received an apology from the theme park.

The shirt had the outline of a gun and read, "Keep Calm and Return Fire." It was purchased by Marine Mario Alejandro to support a charitable organization.

A statement was issued today by Six Flags Great Adventure. It reads, "Mr. Alejandro accepted our apology when we reached out to him over the weekend and we have invited him and his family to visit our park again as special VIP guests. Unfortunately, at the time our employee did not know Mr. Alejandro's shirt was related to a military charity and we apologize to any military personnel who may have been offended by our mistake."

Alejandro says that at the time, he was told to either buy a new shirt in the gift shop or leave.
