Spooktoberfest set for Oct. 20 in Hartsdale

The Town of Greenburgh Department of Parks and Recreation will sponsor its annual Spooktoberfest for Kids event Oct. 20.

The event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m., rain or shine, at the Harts Brook Park on Preserve on Ridge Road in Hartsdale.

The family-oriented event will feature such festivities as face painting, climbing on an inflatable slide and obstacle course, hayrides through the woods and musicians, clowns, jugglers and a ventriloquist!

Tickets are $5 per person, and children under age 2 are admitted free.

Children will also have the opportunity to make their own Halloween craft and visit with animals from the Greenburgh Nature Center.

Listed below is the entertainment schedule:

• Peter Malfa, DJ: 1-4 p.m.

• Zooky the Clown: 1:30-2 p.m.

• Jennie Berkson, musical entertainer: 2-2:30 p.m.

• John Pizzi, ventriloquist: 2:45-3:30 p.m.

• Ned Gelfars, the Comedy Juggler: 3:30 -4 p.m.

All parking for the event will be at Ridge Road Park, which is directly across from the Harts Brook Park and Preserve.
