The finale of the 2011 Subway Series began an hour and a half later for a storm that never came. Thankfully for the Mets, the game was was played. The Yankees were poised for a sweep of the weekend series when Jason Bay drew a two-out walk on a 3-and-2 pitch from Mariano Rivera in the ninth. That set the scene for Ronny Paulino, who singled to tie the game and give Rivera a blown save. In the 10th inning, it was once again Bay, who drive in the winning run with a single off Hector Noesi for the win.
