Fan battles Damon for drive, helps turn it into HR

Johnny Damon felt the ball going into his glove as he leaped above the leftfield wall in an attempt to grab Cesar Izturis' drive.

But a Camden Yards fan was reaching for the ball along with him. Damon lost his grip, and the ball went into the stands for a two-run homer off Phil Coke. That gave the Orioles an 8-5 lead Monday in what became a 10-5 win.

Call it "Avenging Jeffrey Maier.''...
