Full free agency, when players can sign with other teams, began Nov. 3, 2011. Teams can now express interest (without mentioning financial terms) in other clubs’ free agents.
Here are my annual rankings, formulated by using the players’ Wins Above Replacement for 2010 and 2011, as tabulated by Baseball-Reference.com and FanGraphs.com.
The predictions are formed through reporting, looking at financial precedents and attempts to think along with the player, his representative and the team.
