David Wright tied Ed Kranepool's all-time Mets hits record Tuesday night at Citi Field with a two-run single to right in the seventh inning of a 10-6 loss to the Pirates.

Wright, who has 1,418 hits, also smacked his 20th home run in the first inning, a solo shot to center. The tying hit was a dunker into right off Jared Hughes that was trapped by rightfielder Garrett Jones.
