Dillon Gee showed he could get hit just as hard in Triple-A with Las Vegas as he could in the majors with the Mets.

The demoted righthander struck out six in five innings, allowing seven hits, one walk and six runs during the 51s' 20-8 romp over Salt Lake on Thursday.

Five of Gee's seven hits allowed went for extra bases: three doubles and two home runs. He threw 53 of his 86 pitches for strikes and also uncorked a wild pitch.

Centerfielder Kirk Nieuwenhuis was 2-for-4 with two home runs and two walks, first baseman Brandon Allen went 5-for-6 with two doubles and a walk, and leftfielder Alex Castellanos and catcher Anthony Recker each logged two singles, a double and a walk for Las Vegas (42-32, 1st place in Pacific Coast League Pacific Southern).

Leftfielder Michael Conforto was 1-for-3 with a walk, centerfielder Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-4 with a double and rightfielder Eudy Pina was 3-for-4, but the Mets fell to Harrisburg, 2-1.

SINGLE-A ADVANCED ST. LUCIE

Third baseman Daniel Murphy, playing in his second rehab game as he works his way back from a quad strain, was 0-for-3 with a walk in the Mets' 4-3 loss to Bradenton. Second baseman Jeff McNeil was 1-for-3 with two walks and two stolen bases, first baseman Matt Oberste went 3-for-5 and catcher Jeff Glenn was 1-for-3 with a double and a walk. The game was the first during the second half of St. Lucie's season.

SINGLE-A SAVANNAH

In the first game of the second half of the season, leftfielder Vicente Lupo was 2-for-3 with a double and a home run, but Savannah fell to Lexington, 6-2.
