The Mets have gone to extra innings 20 times in 2013, including five games that have gone at least 13 innings. Here is a look at the games that kept fans up in the late hours of the night this season.

April 16 at Colorado; L, 9-8 10 innings

The Mets lost their first extra innings game of the season after Carlos Gonzalez scored from third on a Jordan Pacheco single off Greg Burke with two outs in the 10th. |

The Mets bounced back from a once 3-1 deficit to tie the game at 3-all in the ninth. Then, with one out in the 10th inning, Jordany Valdespin hit a grand slam to give the Mets the victory. |

The Mets thought they had this game won when Ruben Tejada drove in Lucas Duda to give the Mets a 3-2 lead in top of the 15th, but Shawn Marcum, who came in in relief, could not hold the lead. The Marlins' Greg Dobbs scored from second to tie it, and Nick Green's sacrifice fly brought home the winning run Miami. |

Down 4-3 after seven innings, the Mets rallied against the formidable Braves bullpen. A Marlon Byrd home run tied the game during the eighth, and after the Braves retook the lead during the bottom of the inning, David Wright homered in the top of the ninth to send the game to extras. In the 10th, RBI singles from Ruben Tejada and Daniel Murphy gave the Mets a lead they would not relinquish. |

After having their game suspended the previous night tied at 5-5 just before the ninth inning, the Mets and Braves picked things up in the ninth inning. The resumed game quickly ended as Atlanta's Dan Uggla and B.J. Upton each drove in a run in the top of the 10th. The Mets were unable to score in the bottom half of the inning. |

Trailing Arizona 3-2 in the bottom of the ninth, the Mets tied the game on an RBI single from Josh Satin off of former Met J.J. Putz. After Arizona took the lead in the top of the 13th, Andrew Brown hit a two-run single to give the Mets the win. |

Though the Mets twice tied the game after falling behind in extra innings, they didn't have enough in the tank for the win. Behind 3-2 in the 13th inning, Anthony Recker homered with two outs to tie the game. In the next inning, after falling behind 4-3, Kirk Nieuwenhuis hit a solo shot to even the score again. During the 15th, Arizona took the lead again, and this time, the Mets failed to respond. |
