It could be a grim final few weeks at Citi Field, but fans still interested in watching the Mets can do so at a steep discount for select games.
The team is offering seats for from 33 to 50 percent off for 13 remaining games through TheaterMania, a site that offers discounted tickets primarily for theater tickets. There are 600,000 members of the service, which is free but does require registration at TheaterMania.com.
The savings range from $40 to $90, the latter representing 50 percent off Metropolitan Box seats for select games beginning Friday night.
The Mets report they have sold 2.98 million tickets this season and have filled 94 percent of seats at Citi Field compared with 88 percent at this point last season at Shea Stadium - which had a significantly higher seating capacity.
