Mets season-ticket holders will have until the end of August to purchase ticket strips for potential postseason games at Citi Field this season, the team announced Tuesday.
Those fans with ticket plans of 20 or more games were notified by the Mets on Tuesday morning about the sale of such postseason ticket strips, which include tickets all possible playoff home games in 2015. Season-ticket holders purchasing these ticket strips will be charged for 11 games, including one NL Wild Card game, three NLDS games, four NLCS games and three World Series games.
The Mets (60-52) are in first place in the NL East and hold a 1.5-game lead over the Washington Nationals.
Pro-rated season ticket plans for the Mets' 24 remaining games at Citi Field are still available, the team said, and would provide "guaranteed access" to the postseason.
Information on playoff ticket sales for the general public will be announced in the coming weeks, the team said.
The Mets also informed their season-ticket holders that a full 81-game plan for 2016 will have a weighted average increase of 2.86 percent.
