Mets trying to land Japanese star pitcher Kikuchi
PHILADELPHIA - The Mets are among eight teams trying to convince Japanese schoolboy star Yusei Kikuchi to make the jump to the majors, and their Pacific Rim scout Isao Ojimi consulted with the 18-year-old lefthander Tuesday.
