Oliver Perez aside (hopefully, Mets fans?), the Mets bullpen has other issues. Someone will go down when Jon Niese is activated for Saturday’s game with the Marlins and our David Lennon believes Perez will drop his ERA [Egocentric Ridiculous Attitude] and accept assignment to the minors.

But what of these other relievers? Fernando Nieve, at first overworked and now ineffective; Raul Valdes, the gopher ball goat of the last Padres game, Ryota Igarashi and Elmer Dessens, both unreliable. And young Jennry Mejia might need more seasoning.
