Wright was named captain of the 2013 Home Run Derby at Citi Field on July 15, adding to his list of captaincies in 2013. He would go on to pick Michael Cuddyer (Rockies), Carlos Gonzalez (Rockies) and Bryce Harper (Nationals) to represent the National League. Wright would hit five home runs
