Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira will miss eight to 10 weeks of the season with a strained right wrist, Newsday's Erik Boland reported Wednesday.

Teixeira had pulled out of the World Baseball Classic on Tuesday and returned to New York for further evaluation on Wednesday.
