The Yankees said last Monday that they expected Mark Teixeira to sit a minimum of 10 to 14 days with a calf strain. “I don’t have a timetable for when he’ll hit in the cage,’’ Joe Girardi said. “He’s still sore.’’ ... With Ivan Nova, who started Saturday and Andy Pettitte, scheduled to start Tuesday, back in the mix, Girardi said there has been no consideration of a six-man rotation, meaning the displaced Freddy Garcia and David Phelps will pitch out of the bullpen ... . All but two of the 17 Yankees-Rays games have been decided by three or fewer runs.
