The Mets have made David Wright an offer he's expected to refuse.

According to FoxSports.com, the Mets offered their third baseman a six-year $100 million extension, which would take him through 2019. The offer matches contracts awarded to other elite third basemen: the Nationals' Ryan Zimmerman and the Rays' Evan Longoria.
