The Yankees completed their trade of Chris Stewart to the Pirates by acquiring righthanded pitcher Kyle Haynes on Wednesday afternoon as the player to be named later in the deal.

Haynes, 22, has a 2.78 ERA in 110 minor league innings. He spent last year in a Single A affiliate of the Pirates, striking out 85 in 83.1 innings. Impressively, he's given up just one home run during his professional career.

Haynes was selected in the 20th round of the 2012 draft out of Virginia Commonwealth University. He's a 6-2 Virginia native and is likely to pursue a relief path in the Yankees organization. He's started just eight of 62 career games.
