The Yankees will honor Nelson Mandela by placing a plaque in Monument Park at Yankee Stadium to commemorate his visit to the Stadium on June 21, 1990.
The plaque will be unveiled during a ceremony before the Yankees play the Chicago Cubs on April 15 — Jackie Robinson Day.

The Mets have reportedly moved on from the salmon course.
Multiple reports have the Mets' talks with Yankees free agent outfielder Curtis Granderson heating up. The Mets are said to be offering a three-year deal, while Granderson is pushing for four or five years.
The news comes a day after Granderson acknowledged a Sunday meeting with Mets GM Sandy Alderson.

The Yankees reached a deal to sign free agent catcher Brian McCann pending a physical, according to multiple reports.
Ken Rosenthal reports the deal is for five years, $85 million with a sixth year vesting option that could push the total value to $100 million.
