A fraction of the members of the Baseball Writers Association of America have identified their Hall of Fame votes, which earlier this week sent Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine and Frank Thomas to Cooperstown.

The official tally will be revealed Wednesday at 2 p.m., but it appears that, for the second year in a row, Mike Piazza will miss out on election to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Piazza received 57.8 percent of the vote in 2013, falling short of the 75 percent threshold for election.

Research by Baseball Think Factory shows that Piazza's Hall of Fame case is picking up steam in many of the ballots revealed by voting members of the Baseball Writers Association of America. Players must get 75 percent of the vote to be elected to the Hall. Piazza received 57.8 percent of the vote in 2013, his first year of eligibility.
