The Yankees have agreed with lefthanded reliever Matt Thornton on a two-year deal, according to multiple reports. YES Network analyst Jack Curry first reported the news. Curry said Thornton will make $3.5 million during each season of the deal.

Free agent second baseman Brian Roberts has agreed to a deal with the Yankees, according to a report from Ken Rosenthal and Jon Morosi, citing sources.
